My dream since I watch all your great arts here on DeviantArt, friends, is it to make Digital Art on my PC. I want to be so talented like you all!
And what should I say...? I finally have GIMP under control and worked eternities on it but...It's finally done! My very first Digital Art!

About it: My submission for the Guilmon Club-Contest:
Takato & Guilmon - Friends forever

I got the idea when I saw an AMV to the 10th Digimon anniversary last month. There was the end of Digimon Tamers to see. If you remember to it: Because of the program Jugoth which was the last weapon against D-Reaper Takato and the other Tamers had to seperate from their Digimon partners. It was a sad farewell but at the conclusion Takato saw that the gate to the Digiworld was back in Guilmon's hide-out. That was personally for me a glimmer of hope. Maybe they all still could meet each other again...Their friendship was really beautiful
This hope...I wanted to draw it and the expression began with a hug. However...Because I am a miserable artist and press the pencils to hard on the paper I had already some icy showers that I maybe would destroy a beautiful idea with my dilettantic painting...Well, it needed two sundays to learn about Gimp(a really cool freeware program and cheap partner to PhotoShop).
Then I had problems with the color and transparency options in the layers. What a luck that I found a wonderful tutorial by getty(He is fantastic^^).
Another Sunday later I continued with basic colors and the last outlines. The eraser is good to sharpen cotours.
Last sunday then I worked on shades and lights but...I have no real idea about to set lights and shades right...I wish I know it ever where they would belong...But with the airbrush which makes really great Wow-effects in the seconds of painting lights and the shadows and all...
The background was made with Photo Impact XL and is a screen from the Digimon movie 'The adventurers battle'. At the end came the text which was all the time in my head:

"No matter where we are...I believe it! We can met again!"

I know that everyone here could color a pic faster and with guarantee better than me (I needed more than 10 hours for all...You would do it in two hours) but I'm so proud that this pic is really made by myself and I'm overjoyed about it.
